Creative Writing Breaks

Creative writing and walking trips which offer a stimulating mix of personal creativity, discussion and debate, with one-to-one and group writing workshops along an unhurried journey:

  • Take your own writing forward with workshops in fiction, memoir or poetry and
  • Explore great writing and great writers in the landscapes and cities that inspired them

Always led by an experienced teacher.

At present we are organising trips for existing writing groups only.

There are many opportunities, for example our writing and walking weekend in Dorset at Lulworth Cove

Alternatively the Prague and Krakow trip, a unique journey which includes walks in Prague based on the life and work of Franz Kafka, Bohumil Hrabal, Ivan Klíma and others; creative writing workshops and one-to-one meetings; tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau museum and the Oskar Schindler factory.

The Alchemy of Place
This intriguing and moving journey makes vivid for each traveler the ways in which the presence of a place and time, its world view and events, can live in every line and page of a story, and will inspire each participant to develop their own stories, whether fiction or memoir.
